Alex grew up in Brooklyn, graduated from Duke, and was funded by Y Combinator. He founded Jellyfish Art, a company that sells pet jellyfish, and led it through a successful acquisition. He crowd-funded the Desktop Jellyfish Tank on Kickstarter and was one of the first successful launches of a consumer product on a crowd-funding platform. He has since started several software and hardware ventures.
Nick is a degreed engineer from the University of Minnesota College of Science & Engineering and has a Master's degree from the University of Minnesota College of Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics. Nick has many years of consumer product design experience with a broad knowledge of product manufacturing, from prototypes through production. He has over 8 years of experience in design for manufacturing and is an expert at SLA, FDM, plastic injection molding, metal injection molding, die casting, metal stamping, machining, PCBA, and assembly.
Drew is the Principal Mechanical Design Engineer. He has a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Minnesota Duluth and is a Certified Solidworks Expert. Drew has 6 years experience in product design for commercial and consumer applications. He specializes in DFM for sheet metal, plastic injection molding, and machining, and is a lifelong tinkerer, maker and aspiring pilot.
